Sarah’s Ivy Studio was one of the loveliest and coziest places we have ever stayed at. It’s beautifully designed and decorated, with every detail meant to make you feel right at home. Having stayed during the winter, the fireplace was definitely the highlight, but the backyard is equally lovely, and all divisions of the studio are comfortable and functional. The surrounding area is beautiful, and even if you don’t wish to drive to the coast or to other hikeable places, there’s a couple of nice hikes in the vicinity of the Ivy Studio. While the village itself (Diptford) is pretty small and doesn’t have any place where you can buy groceries, there’s a few options within a 15min drive. Communication with Sarah and Craig was seamless, and when we had a problem with our car, they were extremely kind in making sure we were okay and had all the help we needed, plus sharing with us advice to navigate the icy roads around. We would most definitely recommend!

Lovely accommodation and quiet, pretty location close to some great places and a quick drive to Totnes. Spacious, serene and well thought out. A pretty garden and exclusive use of the parking right outside. Lovely hosts who gave a warm welcome but otherwise felt a very private stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Ivy studio. The cottage is beautifully renovated, peaceful and had everything we needed for our stay. Sarah and Craig were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. If you like a relaxing and peaceful hideaway in rural Devon then this house is perfect. The house is very cosy after a day out exploring and the garden is delightful, a perfect place to view the clear sky and stars at night as there is no light pollution. Our hosts were very welcoming and it was nice to be able to chat to them. All in all a fantastic 4 days and would not hesitate to recommend this property.

“This must be one of the most relaxing stays we have ever had. Everything about the accommodation has been thought through very carefully, and we lacked for nothing. The studio manages to be both spacious and cosy, and we appreciated the wood-burner, and all the little touches - candles and tealights, garden flowers in jars, croissants, herbs on the table, and a very well-equipped kitchen. Sarah and Craig could not be more helpful and friendly, and were always on hand if we needed anything.”

A wonderful gem- so glad we found it. Ivy Studio is very thoughtfully set out and has wonderful energy. It is peaceful with a lovely garden and beautiful interior. We loved the birdsong all around. Sarah & Craig were very welcoming. Chocolates and croissants were a welcome treat. We loved our stay and hope to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ivy Studio. The place was spotless, incredibly comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The upstairs bedroom is much bigger than it appears in the photos, flooded with gorgeous natural light and the sound of morning birdsong.
Sarah & Craig had kindly left out croissants, jams and coffee for our first morning which we had sat out in the beautifully landscaped garden.
There really is nothing at all to fault about the Ivy Studio, nor its hosts, who welcomed us warmly and gave lots of recommendations of places to visit in the nearby areas.
