Ivy Studio Devon is run by Sarah and Craig Taylor, having lovingly renovated the original sculptor's studio, built on an ancient farm building dating back to the early 1700s. The spacious two story building is set next door to their thatched cottage.

It is open plan with a well equipped living/dining and kitchen area with its cosy wood-burner - the gallery bedroom is upstairs with its own sofa and sitting area. A writing desk overlooks the garden through a full-length picture window. Wifi speed is excellent!

Beyond the back door there are various seating areas in the Studio garden, packed with trees, shrubs and flowers. The garden has been restored to reveal stone walls and paths originally created by the sculptor’s wife in the ‘70s.

Ivy Studio lies on the outskirts of the sleepy village of Diptford, deep in the South Hams overlooked by its medieval church, St Mary the Virgin. You may be lucky enough to hear the church bells ringing out across the village.

The vibrant town of Totnes is five miles away with great places to eat along with lots of alternative and independent shops . A busy market is held on Fridays and Saturday, a great place to pick up a bargain and spend time amongst the colourful food stalls.
